Anippe
The first maiden to be sacrificed to sate Balagos's hunger. A famous song was written about her, titled The Maiden of Balagos.
Anippe has never been seen since Balagos took her away. Most believe she died whether Balagos ate her before he even returned to his lair on that fateful day or if she died of old age, very few disagree with the fact that she is dead. The truth is that Anippe still lives. Far beyond her normal lifespan, Anippe lives on, as a mortal dragonborn. Balagos sustains her life and she lives in his volcanic lair with the ancient and feared dragon. The pair occasionally travel together, Balagos disguised as a mortal dragonborn, but usually they stay in their lair, enjoying each other's company and pursuing their own ambitions.
