Times are changing.
The generations of peace and safety, won by a sacrifice which has faded into the obscurest of legend, is coming to a close. The people of Verdehn, as varied as they are, have at least one thing in common; they have grown used to their quiet world. And they have forgotten.
They have forgotten the creatures of old and the wars between higher beings, the gods and their enemies. it has been a long time since the gods have been forced to take an active role in the defence of their greatest creation.
