Ryna

Once the gem of the ancient Ibzian civilization in the Osmad Desert, the ruined city of Ryna now exists vaguely underneath the city of Bekilk and the Oasis it was built next to. Very little of the ancient city has survived the time since it fell to the Red Dragon that enslaved the remaining Ibzians, though curious individuals and archeologists have discovered portions of the city submerged in the Oasis that once provided them life.

History

Predicted to have been constructed at least a thousand years before the Fantastical Era, Ryna was one of the very first settlements in recorded history. It was a center of knowledge and culture until a terrible red dragon known as Rhenos the Terrible arrived and brought destruction and chaos upon the city. Those that survived the onslaught were enslaved by the dragon for almost 200 years until the humans from the north came upon the ruined city. Before the dragon's ultimate victory, the King of Ibzia at the time locked himself, many loyal soldiers, and the vast majority of wealth the city has accumulated in a secret vault within the city to prevent the dragon from having it. To this day, the location of this vault remains a mystery.
