Physical Description

General Physical Condition

A tough and bulky dwarf, most often seen as a walking suit of armor.

Body Features

His skin looks like it's made of amethyst gemstone and is definitely abnormal, though not often seen through his full armor.

Facial Features

A super thick, luxurious full Dwarven beard completely covering his face below his nose, reaching down to his stomach; it's quite difficult to see his mouth even when talking. It is surprisingly silky and smooth, and very well maintained. His hair itself also reaches down to his lower back and is equally as thick and fluffy, though not quite as silky.

This man is a mess.   A Forgechild dwarf who had spent his entire life forging and crafting weapons, armor, gear, tools, etc. He's about done it all, though none more than smithing.   He grew up with two loving dwarven parents just running their own shop of all kinds crafted goods; whichever tool proficiency one lacked the other made up for - it was a perfect combo, and they lived comfortably. They also sold to anyone and everyone, speaking and understanding their native tongues - possibly through the use of spells (at least one of them may have been a sorcerer or warlock, perhaps an ex-adventurer) - to put even those put off by the more prideful and close-minded dwarves in their town at ease. This resulted in two things: Odin's "dwarven accent" in Common is very light (sometimes even having trouble understanding fellow dwarves with accents thicker than their beards secondly, Odin grew to be very accepting of just about anyone and everyone himself as long as they are a decent individual, even now having no qualms with lizardfolk and the like who eat the corpses of sentient races, even their allies and best friends (proving capable of understanding the cultural significance to them), and an undead warrior of the Black Pantheon who must kill to survive.   As a child all the way into adulthood, he almost never left the forge's side. He had a gift, albeit an obsessive one. His mother even joked about if she hadn't borne him herself she was sure he crawled out of the forge instead (this was once followed by a response along the lines of "not even the King's chosen smiths working for a hundred years could craft a 'forge' as lovely as you" from his father... which had her question if he was in the practice of smelting steel or smelting cheese, but it earned him brownie points anyway). There was only one person other than his parents who truly understood him, though - a sweet but assertive and relentless dwarven lass. Even the reclusive, obsessive, and stubborn Odin caved to her overwhelming pressure. --(WIP)--   Old summary WIP
Lost his wife and closest friends to an attack from Duergar zealots of Astaroth who view their surface-dwelling dwarven kin as weak and blasphemous. Left Krazax, too many memories plaguing his mind there. Feeling lost and without purpose, met some traveling foreign smith while wandering aimlessly. The foreign smith forged weapons and armor he had never seen nor heard of in all his years pounding away at the anvil. The foreigner told him of Samurai and their weaponry and all sorts of things. Odin found new purpose at this, the faded ember of his forge reigniting with overwhelming flames. He now seeks to become a fighter, one of these "samurai", pledging to become strong enough to defend anyone from any threat by cutting them down with peerless resolve.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Invented a magically powered, albeit poorly functioning, chainsword.
Helped stop the Green-eyed Necromancer from resurrecting the would-be evil god Marcelus Kingvale (Phase 1's Final Boss).
Slayed a Behemoth in the Coliseum of Strife, avenging the deaths of many; beheaded via chainsword, head taken as a trophy for the Bards College.
Slayed a Behemoth Queen in Krazax, restoring power to the forge The Antediluvian Heart.

Failures & Embarrassments

Failed to save the life of an ally for the first time against an overwhelming enemy: Olga of the Grasping Hand. He still feels guilty about it despite doing everything in his power to keep her alive and despite that being the death in combat against a powerful foe that orc barbarian had wanted.

Mental Trauma

Oh boy...
• Prone to deep depression or rage when someone he knows is killed; easily becomes fixated on seeking vengeance, especially when a lover or family is left to mourn, even moreso if children are robbed of their parents.
• The loss of his wife before he could truly return her love has him desperate for love and family as a means of honoring his late wife by showing her efforts to break him out of his shell were not in vain.
• Furthermore, his desperate attempts at seeking love or even a lover has driven him nearly mad, even almost costing him his life once.
• His late wife's death at the hands of Duergar zealots has seeded a deep hatred for their kind and Astaroth.
• The loss of the only person that's understood he needs help with his reclusive nature and showed him love and affection since his late wife as well as his inability to seek vengeance against their murderer nor even aid in doing so has also affected him heavily.
Knowing a previous person of importance at the Iitanas Imperium was responsible has worsened his outlook over the elven faction.

Filled with primordial flame from the volcanic depths of the Antediluvian Heart, this hulking mountain of battle-scarred steel draws upon mortality’s greatest strength, sacrifice. Like the place of its making, centered within the heart of the plated chest is a forge that burns with the lifeforce of its wearer, and with which it molds barriers to protect all those that seek aid. Any light that bleeds through the forge's glowing steel invigorates allies with the strength of your vitality. Such sacrifice has its limits however, and to fill the void comes pain. Infused with the burning rage of Fugar Vulcan, any that wear this armor can force open its gate to fan the flames of their heart and sear their enemies with crimson radiance.

You can use abilities that require a shield even if you are not carrying one.

Living Bulwark:

Your armor is a fortress for those around you. If you have temporary hit points and a creature you can see attacks a target other than you that is within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to force that attack to target you instead.  

Steel Heart:

The fire within you forges layers of protection from your sacrifice. Whenever you would regain hit points, you can use your reaction to instead restore hit points to an ally within 30 feet of you for half the amount (minimum of 1) and gain temporary hit points equal to the number of hit points restored.  

Open The Forge:

As an action you can force open the blazing forge in your chest, spilling crimson radiance into your armor. As part of this action you can b]spend [up to four Hit Dice to regain hit points. You also gain the following benefits for 1 minute:
  • You shed bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet
  • You can use Living Bulwark even if you have no temporary hit points
  • Whenever a creature hits you with a melee attack they suffer 1d8 radiant damage
When this ability ends you suffer 2 levels of exhaustion. This ability can be used once and refreshes after finishing a short or long rest.   Slots Used:

“An ornately and masterfully crafted heavy metal shield of Krazaxian Tower Shield form but Daborakian Kite Shield function. Though particularly more well suited for dwarven stature, strength, and constitution by comparison it has adjustable and additional straps and clamps for different wearable configurations to cater to the various designs of armor and arm lengths. They use magnetic metal that snaps together quickly and easily without sacrificing stability. There is also mechanism on the grip, as well - with a firm squeeze, a non-magnetic rod inserts through the magnetic clamps, similarly to a bolt lock door, so unless the wielder intentionally lets go a force attempting to pull the shield off won't find it easily disarmed. Bonus Proficiency

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: History, Insight, Performance, or Persuasion. Alternatively, you learn one language of your choice.

Fighting Spirit

Starting at 3rd level, your intensity in battle can shield you and help you strike true. As a bonus action on your turn, you can give yourself advantage on weapon attack rolls until the end of the current turn. When you do so, you also gain 5 temporary hit points. The number of temporary hit points increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 10 at 10th level and 15 at 15th level.

You can use this feature three times, and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.

Elegant Courtier

Starting at 7th level, your discipline and attention to detail allow you to excel in social situations. Whenever you make a Charisma (Persuasion) check, you gain a bonus to the check equal to your Wisdom modifier.

Your self-control also causes you to gain proficiency in Wisdom saving throws. If you already have this proficiency, you instead gain proficiency in Intelligence or Charisma saving throws (your choice).

Shield Master

You use shields not just for protection but also for offense. You gain the following benefits while you are wielding a shield:
  • If you take the Attack action on your turn, you can use a bonus action to try to shove a creature within 5 feet of you with your shield.
  • If you aren't incapacitated, you can add your shield's AC bonus to any Dexterity saving throw you make against a spell or other harmful effect that targets only you.
  • If you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you can use your reaction to take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, interposing your shield between yourself and the source of the effect.
