Tregaron City

Among the largest, most bustling cities in Veska, Tregaron City was built upon what was once a highly contested and disputed battlefield, until the three kingdoms that once waged war had allied closely enough to settle upon it. With the spread of the The Blood Curse and the founding of the Hunter's Guild.

Demographics

Primarily human; much like the variety in the humans, there is a melting pot of other species within Tregaron.

Government

Tregaron is ran by the Hunter's Guild; laws are thus not really typical when compared to the laws one would expect in other cities, as it's ran by an almost military-esque organization. All in all, the Hunter's Guild is mostly dedicated to dictating the law of the place, with the Grandmaster, Garland Rye, acting as the so-called 'King' of Tregaron. The following hierarchy determines the set of officials, from greatest to lowest.   Grandmaster: Is in charge of running all of Tregaron. The 'Grandmaster' is a title carried over from the Hunter's Guild. The Grandmaster is in charge of appointing Magisters, whom act as the highest ranking official aside from him. He has full permission to strip a Magister of their title, but is generally expected to follow their wisdom and advice.   Magisters: The highest ranking official. Magisters are in charge of both writing the law and commanding those who enforce it. Typically speaking, the Magisters are assigned to specific wards and quarters found within Tregaron.   Guildmaster: Guildmasters are what essentially run Tregaron through economic growth. While not technically above the law, they are generally greatly respected on grounds that their guild can easily determine whether or not a facility can run smoothly or not. There are dozens of guilds found in Tregaron, each dedicated to assisting a specific trade or group.   Captains: Captains of the Hunter's guild, or just simply people that have been chosen to act as the highest ranking official within their stationed posts. Long story short; they're guard captains. Magisters write and assign the laws, while Captains either carry it out personally, or carry it out with the hunters. Captains are almost exclusively highly trained hunters; to stand out from the typical Hunter, Captains generally wear outfits with motifs bearing resemblance to a specific animal. They are known for being quite imposing, dressed in heavy black, sweeping overcoats, heavy boots, and blank masks to hide the face, along with a helmet or headpiece based after the animal they associate with.   Hunters: Hunters are deeply regarded as important officials; most of the guards are lead by Hunters from the Hunter's guild, and are generally in charge of handling the law. There are many Hunters throughout the city of Tregaron; and thus, some are assigned to captains, often acting as elite guards.

Guilds and Factions

The sheer size of Tregaron has lead to countless guilds forming over the years. These guilds are what keep the city of Tregaron afloat; there are countless guilds found throughout the city, each with their own specific 'traditions' or 'trade' that they practice. The Guilds are simple; they help protect, assist, and guide those that are a part of that specific trade, whilst also providing their services as a collective for the guild in question. The Guilds are as follows:   Apothecary's Guild   Art & Sculptor's Guild   Baker's Guild   Brewer's Guild   Butcher's Guild   Carpenter's Guild   Carter & Coach Guild   Jeweler & Gemcutter's Guild   Fisherman's Fellowship   Farmer's Union   Lamplighter's Guild   Launderer's Guild   Mariner & Watermen's Guild   The Mason & Stonecutting Guild   Innkeeper's Guild   Scriven & Scribe Guild   Skald & Bard Guild   Skinner & Tanner Guild   Sweeper's Union   Streetshop's Union   Order of Tailors, Mercers, Glovers, and Cobblers   Wagon & Coach builder's Guild   Weapon, Armour, & Metalsmith's Guild
