Kapana (Cap-Ah-Nah)
Kapana is a common fruit found growing in the darker regions of the Golgelen Jungle. They go by a few names; notably Glowfruit for the simple fact that they give off a bright, bioluminescent blue glow in the darkness. They're also called Trapfruit due to the fact that they're often sought by wildlife as much as adventurers; while they're easy to procure, they're also just as dangerous to approach due to the potential threats looming close to them.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Kapana grow in dense bushes that sprout them out through long, clinging vines that can sometimes snake their way around a nearby Harika Tree. These long vines eventually sprout out a massive bulb -- the Kapana fruit.
The fruit has a rosy red and vibrantly colored skin that's soft and velvety to the touch. Beneath it is pulsing, bluish flesh that glows brightly when left in the dark or cut open; in complete darkness, it manages to shine through the skin to create a slight, purplish hue. Kapana flesh is very soft, paste-like, and carries many seeds, but has a somewhat sweet and pleasant taste.
Ecology and Habitats
Growing exclusively in the Golgelen Jungle, Kapana require specific conditions; notably a perpetually dark setting above ground. This makes them exclusive to Dekarth, though it's possible to grow the vines beneath the shade of a particularly tall tree, so long as it remains shaded enough from the dark.

Uses, Products & Exploitation
Considered a sweet and tasty dessert, Kapana is a popular fruit that's sometimes hunted and harvested from within the jungle. It's often repurposed into a spread or jelly to spread over bread -- or in some cases, tenderize meet and add an exotic hint of sweetness to a savory dish.
Kapana is also used to make a unique wine. Much like the fruit that made it, Kapana wine glows a dull blue in the dark; the taste is often considered an 'acquired' one, however. Kapana itself is only mildly sweet, and the wine it's made into leaves that flavor growing notably sour and pungent. It is thus often called 'Sour Wine'.
