Evuron mushrooms
Oh, if you can find some, you'll have a wonderful time.Evuron mushrooms are seen as a rare species within the Ke'Galan Magocracy, only growing in very specific places. This makes them very sought after and it is not uncommon for shops to have notices open for buying the particular species. As such a sought after species, there is certainly a black market trade of the mushrooms going on, but there is an important difference in the use of the mushrooms by both markets.
Fiery sight
The main identifying feature of this species of mushroom is the fiery red colorization on the cap of the fungus. The mushroom itself is very squat and low to the ground with a large flat disk as a cap. On the cap, bright red emanates from the center in a radial flame like pattern. This gives a stark contrast with the overall white body of the rest of the mushroom. The overall fungus is, fully grown, barely five centimeter in diameter and stands generally about two to three centimeter above the ground. The spores themselves are also fiery red.Difficult hiding place
The most difficult thing about evuron mushrooms is that they tend to be difficult to find. They only appear under rocks and in caves in the temperate decidious forests found around Vestar, of which the Ke'Galan Magocracy has very few. This makes the species rare to come by within the magocracy, but less so in the rest of Vestar.Different usages
There are two very distinct known uses for evuron mushrooms. In medicine the spores and roots are removed before grinding the fungus to a paste. This paste can be disolved in warm water to have a calming and relaxing effect on the user, otherwise the paste can be directly applied to the skin to help with local muscle relaxation. Besides for medical purposes, the spores can be used for recreational purposes as well. The spores will be ground to a fine powder before being bound with a binding agent, before being smoked. A less common, but more effective method is rubbing the fine spore powder directly into the gums. This is generally seen as the more hard-core method as it tastes really bad. So normally the binding agent is used to change the taste of the spores. Most of the time these binding agents are other herbs or eadible plants that bring strong scent and taste when smoked, such as Axu root, which brings a more fresh acidic taste.Remove these ads. I love the diversity of methods the evuron can be used. The problem of their peculiar choice of the habitat adds a nice twist to the potential story or a plot. Thanks for a good read! :D
