Orcs
Orcs are a humanoid race renowned for their physical prowess, ferocity in battle, and strange customs. Tall, broad and well-built, orcs look more or less human aside from their large builds, greenish skin, robust skulls, and large canine teeth. Orcs also have somewhat less sexual dimorphism than other humanoid races, with both sexes tending to be huge and muscle-bound, and while most orcs would attest that it is perfectly easy to tell men and women apart based on tusk length, other races find it rather more difficult.
Seen as a brutal and warmongering race of savages, orcs tend to face the greatest degree of racism--aside, perhaps, from tieflings--though things have started to change for the better in the last century. Braggo in particular is one of the few place in Veturoth where orcs are generally well-received by the human populace. Due to many centuries of suspicion and mistreatment, orcish societies tend to be fairly insular, and deeply wary of outsiders, though those who manage to earn the trust of an orcish clan often find them to be incredibly supportive and hospitable.
Though there are some sedentary orcish societies, orcs are generally organized in nomadic matriarchal clans.

Gender Ideals
Orcs are, generally speaking, matriarchal, but while females do generally hold more power and social status than males, the sexes are, overall, more equal than among many other societies in Veturoth.
Major Language Groups and Dialects
What is generally perceived as merely "orcish" by outsiders is, in truth, a rich array of mutually intelligible languages and dialect groups. While most orcs are merely impressed that an outsider would take the time to learn one of their tongues, some do get rather irritated at all their languages being lumped into a single "orcish" language.
