Steyrikk

Steyrikk is the Sevari god of the forge, and counterpart to Skuggir, god of shadows. The so called "twin gods" represent the duality and intertwined nature of dark and light, and represent dawn and dusk respectively. Steyrikk is known to be both more accessible and temperamental than his brother--his blessings given more readily, but in less predictable a form. Unsurprisingly, he is a favored god among smiths and other craftspeople, as well as the genasi (particularly the fire tribe) of the southeastern reaches of Veturoth.

Holy Books & Codes

Steyrikk has 3 main books:
The Hammer of Dawn - A collection of workman's shanties which recounts the stoking of the Forge of Dawn during Josbrunar's ascent which granted him his fire, and the many escapades of Steyrikk in the eons since.
Dawn's Crucible - An epic poem recounting the forging of Josbrunar's fire
To Cast the Shadow - A more pragmatic book offering guidance on both how to live a moral life according to Steyrikk's codes and how to be a successful tradesman. Easily the most prominent of Steyrikk's holy books, and often referenced by followers of Skuggir as well.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Steyrikk's holy sigil is one of the most simple of Sevari iconography, and consists of a stylized white flame on a pitch black background, crossed by two orange hammers. It is a symbol familiar to many in Veturoth, be they followers of Sevari or not, as many devout smiths take it as a logo for their own businesses in homage to Steyrikk.

Tenets of Faith

1.) A cold forge shall warp no metal. Let roar the fire, and shape the world to your liking.
2.) The unquenched blade will bend before it is cut. Buckle down upon that which is good. Do not be swayed by petty frivolities.
3.) Only through toil is that of worth achieved. Cast your shadow into the world, and wear deep the callouses on your hands.

Holidays

During the third week of Veldri, the Festival of Ringing Hammers is held. Unlike many other holidays, it is not a day off from work, but a day dedicated entirely to work. During the Festival of Ringing Hammers, smiths and other skilled craftsmen will work from daybreak on Dagur Josris to the dawn of Dagur Plaja to forge a masterwork, which they will cast back into the forge in sacrifice to Steyrikk when dusk falls on Dagur Rokkur. In the meantime between the dawn of Dagur Plaja and dusk of Dagur Rokkur, the masterworks are displayed in the central area of town, where guild masters and other prominent tradesmen will evaluate each work.
