Far Water
"Thought we may be far from the great waters of our fathers and mothers. This is a new oppurtunity for our people one that will lead us to new discoveries in the name of Edona." - From Haldine Rainwalker's speach to her people when joining the Republic 1312Far Water is a city of peaceful people. It's lack of grandiose spires and massive marble columns cause many to believe that the city is in a disheveled state when in actuality, the city is quite well off. It is the main port of trade for The Republic of Strathmore and it manages many mining villages on the southern edge of the country. The reason for its lack of extraordinary architecture comes from the fact that it is largely populated by the ancient vordralian tribes of this section of the peninsula. These people don't have the same need for grandiosity that the other countrymen have. However, don't let the lack of large buildings fool you into believing the city lacks in beauty. Its picturesque scenery leaves many travelers in awe and the people there are some of the most unique in the world. There is a large population of druids that worship and draw power from Lake Daygar many miles away. This distance from the source of power is what created the cities name.
