Finding Orb

A unique navigational orb linked to it's user. Most inhabitants of Via'Lactea who are not destitute can be found with one of these as they are an essential navigational tool. The orb attunes to the user's magical aura and is able to sense the aura of most other living things within a wide range and show the general direction of that being. User's cannot be located if they do not wish to be found as being "find-able" is an active choice within one's aura. Most cities and towns also attune all major places of interest to small navigational crystals within the establishment which allows them to be located easily by users wielding one of these orbs(ie. inns, taverns, shops and the like.)
Some inhabitants will attach this item to a favored piece of jewelry, or equipment as a fashion statement or simply to make it more difficult to lose or be stolen.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The finding orbs connect to a person's aura enabling them to 'broadcast' their whereabouts to anyone who may be searching for them.
