Combat Injuries

Even when magic or battle smarts help a party survive and live to tell the tale after an encounter, the results of combat may linger in the form of physical injuries. Searching for a cure or solution to an injury may be possible, but it may take time and effort to access.

Lingering Injuries Triggers

In the course of combat, or combats between short or long rests, Players may encounter a Lingering Injury if:
  • PC falls to 0 HP three times (and every drop to 0 thereafter)
  • PC drops to 0 HP on a Critical Hit (and every drop to 0 thereafter)
  • PC dies outright in the course of combat (Auto-Roll on Injury Table)

Lingering Injuries Table

After triggering a potential injury, a Player must roll a DC 10 Constitution save. The save DC increases by 2 for every subsequent roll. On a failure, the PC must roll a D20 on the DMG Lingering Injuries Table.
