The White Writer gets its name from the lines and streams of clouds they behind once reaching top speeds. Whilst their flight path is recognisable the animal itself is a rare sight.   Those who do see one in person will notice its long pointed beaks and round black eyes. With smoothe white skin that is said to resemble a manta ray in texture. Finally it's long tail is crowned with a small forked tip that is made of a thin membrane material. Its harder and darker shade of grey underbelly gives the creature some protection while on the ground. Despite very few seeing them land other than mountain farmers and members of the Swiftan family.

Actions:

Fly - using its wings, the creature flies around and evades a single attack. Chance to counter attack upon a critical roll.   Jet - the writer closes its body and zooms through the air, allowing the creature to escape or cause serious harm upon collision. 1d8 melee damage, chance to cause bleeding upon a critical roll.   Gust - flapping it's large wingspan causes a strong gust of wind to knock back the target. 1d4 ranged damage.   Frost Resistance - the white Writer is immune to ice based magic

History:

Origins of the creatures are unknown but records of the writers have been noted since the Acuran era. With many more flying around in the past however numbers of the species has dwindled. Scholars suspect it is due to harsher environments developing and sources of food have become more scarce as time moves forward.   Reduced numbers of white writers was noticed during the age of exploration by the Acuran Swiftan. Seeing their ability to fly at incredible speeds, Swiftan and his family attempted to tame the creatures in an attempt to not only preserve the animals but also explore how to replicate similar speeds. The Swiftan farm, located in the Eastern mountain regions of Cytal, made way to the creation of swiftness potions that are now common knowledge throughout the world. The farm still stands in present day, but is now more a preservation centre than research facility.   Other notable historical events involving the White Writer includes the kidnapping of the creatures in the early exploration era. Where it was later presumed that were being sold to buyers in other realms for experimental purposes. With many believing that this string of kidnappings and experiments led to the creation of the Black Flag, a similar flying creature both in appearance and speeds.
