Viridian
Written by the adventurers of Viridian
After hundreds of years of war, alliances, intrigue, and betrayal, Viridian is finally enjoying a time of peace.
Viridian is an old and green island. Artifacts and landmarks of past civilizations pockmark farmer's pastures, but few remember their origin and meaning. The more ancient races of elves, less concerned with politics and greed, have all but left the island. The last clan of dwarves dig deeper within their stronghold in an endless search – only interacting with the outside world to trade for grains to fill their bellies and brew their meads. The orcs engage in eternal battle to secure the fabrics of the universe. History has been left to the humans, who are concerned with securing and writing their own legacies and glory. And yet, buried memories have a tendency of resurfacing…
In just two years after inheriting his father’s kingdom, through unlikely alliances, and masterful tactics King Albert the Chosen has unified the greater part of Viridian. Now after twenty three years of consolidating his kingdom, King Albert the Chosen has had an untimely death. Will the shaky peace in Viridian last with King Albert the Chosen's playboy son as the heir apparent? News of acts of dark forces and monsters are surfacing across the countryside, can the Templars of the Light and mercenary adventurers stamp this out? Is this the age of human advancement or a small reprise as the war-torn island battles itself into entropy?
