The Domus Vatum

The Domus Vatum is located in Rintivus, near the Senate building. It is the Rinti Confederation's school and guild hall for state-sanctioned bards. All individuals who pass a five-year course of instruction in the Domus Vatum are given the title of "Defender Hereditatis," or "Keeper of Traditions" for the Rinti Confederation.
The course of instruction includes the following:

• Training in musical performance with at least three instruments, as well as the spoken and sung word
• Core songs, stories, and poems from each of the Provinces of the Confederation
• Knowledge of the history of Rintivus, from the founding of Rintivus in 5937 under Rintivus the Conqueror (Rintivus I) until the present day
• Patriotic tales that tell of the loyalty, bravery, and honor of heroes from each of the provinces of the confederation during the Storming, and how the Rinti Confederation saved the world

After passing a comprehensive exam/performance at the end of their instruction, successful students choose to enter the College of Lore, College of Valor, or College of Eloquence. Within their chosen college, students are matched with masters who will take them on as apprentices. When their master believes them ready, the student is named "Magister Scientie" (College of Lore: Master of Knowledge), "Magister Anima" (College of Valor: Master of Courage), or "Magister Rhetoricae" (College of Eloquence: Master of Rhetoric).

The current headmaster of the Domus Vatum is Simiyu Oseiwo, MR, a tall, bald human from Wotash Territory with dark brown skin and a booming, rich bass voice.
