Murder of the Crows
The event that came to be known as the Murder of the Crows was a dark time for Reacia. The upheaval of the Corvinian Dynasty and the subsequent Reacian Revolution caused much chaos and destruction in the peaceful country, and none of the Lycenian Crows survived the slaughter. The details of the event have been blurred in history, but recently uncovered in Queen Ruith Liaore's journals that have come to be known as 'The Lying Court.'
History
While the Lycenian Crows existed from the Age of Gods to the late Deific Age, their existence was abruptly ended during the Murder of the Crows at the end of the Reacian Revolution. They lived in the palace at Lycen, acting as royal symbols and emmissaries of the kingdom. When Queen Ruith Liaore took the throne, that changed drastically.
Antarah beckoned down one of the huge crows to the arm of her throne, where it perched, eyes dark and beady. It looked out over the courtroom with disdain, as Antarah trailed a finger down its feathers. "Don't you want to think this through?" she crooned.

Corvinian Dynasty
The time of the Corvinian Dynasty was especially dark during the rule of Queen Antarah Rolfe. As a Queen's Advisor who stepped up to the throne when the Crown Princess Eadlyn Wydia vanished on her Coronation Day, Antarah was a strict Queen who ruled with an iron fist.
While some say the presence of the Crows set a dark omen over the Crown, their grim aesthetic fit very well with shortlived Corvinian Dynasty, the last dynasty with which they were to reside in the palace. During that dark period, the Crows revealed they will eat human flesh if given the chance, and began to hunt the city for more meat.
Reacian Revolution
The Reacian Revolution put a swift end to the Corvinian Dynasty, which lasted only three years. The uprising of Ruith Liaore and Eadlyn Wydia against Antarah Rolfe left a scar across the country, and put Ruith on the throne at the end of the battle.
Due to the discovery that the Lycenian Crows will eat human flesh if given the chance, Ruith's first action as the new Queen was to decree the Crows be put to death. While this angered many around Visctheria - as the Godsent are a protected group of species - many Lycenians were thankful that the scourge of giant, flesh-eating birds would be vanquished.

Lycenian Crows
One of the few Godsent species that has gone extinct in recent memory, the Lycenian Crow is a wonderful example of a Godsent. While they appear to be related to crows, they have that remarkable geneology that sets them apart from other Visctherian species, and makes them grow much larger than should be possible.Origin
The Lycenian Crows were a gift to Reacia from Maghena, Goddess of ashes. They have been a symbol of the Reacian lands since before there were borders, and have lived at the Lycen palace for most of the Deific Age.Habitat
Lycenian Crows are native to Reacia, and were the royal symbol of the Reacian Crown until the events of the Murder of the Crows. They lived inside a specially built giant birdhouse at the top of the Reacian palace in the capitol city of Lycen.More Information on the Godsent
