Adventurer's Guild

This is functionally an adventurer's guild. The settlement voted against calling it a formal "Guild" so as to remove it from all perceptions of being an institution that exits for its own profit. Instead, it serves the community and surrounding area in exchange for payment. It is financed by The Beacon and operated by do-gooders.   It is managed by Quartermaster General, an older gentleman who runs all different aspects of the building. A small armory is also held there, offering mundane equipment to adventurers.   There is a book of adventurers groups that can be seen by the party. It lists other parties and their tasks. Also, there is a public bounty board with quests that have been accepted by various parties, some that were also listed in the book. The bounty board assignments are competitive. There is also a bestiary that needs work, and a small remembrance area for fallen adventurers.    Besides housing groups of adventurers, it also houses individual mercenaries who do not belong to a group but who seek adventure. These people train to be included in parties of adventurers to supplement them and are typically independent mercenaries who choose not to commit to a group.   NPCs found here: Quartermaster General Taglar Chad Hungwell On occasion, Adam Subtractum - if he is leading a party there for the first time.
