Grand Library

The Grand Library is a large structure built out of marble and wood. It contains all of the literature for the settlement. The constant military presence of the Beacon made it an ideal candidate for a library, and thus the New World Library was built by Enlana Feynor. Anyone who Shunts in with books is heavily encouraged to donate them for copying. The original book is eventually returned along with one gold piece.
As of year 6, the library is respectable but nowhere near full. In addition, she lacks critical books relating to skills and magics and technologies. Those books are unlikely to have been in the hands of anyone who was Shunted - most books that come through the portal are for pleasure, barring school children and the occasional academic wizard. However, magical books about spells cannot be shunted and thus will never be brought through the portal. So, these types of books are highly coveted in Vita.
