In 440 AC, Alarion, king of the Freelanders creates an army of dead warriors of the desert by using necromancy. The king is consumed by his rituals of the dead, and seems to ignore the many problems of the country’s interior that was only a few steps away from a civil war. He builds pyramids and gives them away to his ranking officers, causing distress to the Governors.
