Yuan-Ti Desert

A large area of a mixed mostly desertous terrain. The area consists of a lot of chaotic magic as well. Floating rocks and boulders frequently adorn the landscape, but travelers are wary as these beautiful phenomena can become unstable and explode with great force.   Earthquakes are also common here and have opened strange crevasses filled with wild plants, some known to be carnivorous.   Presently considered hostile territory, the Yuan-ti command this area and hunt anyone who enters it They are slowly spreading out their territory, threatening the surrounding kingdoms ____________________________________________________________________________________________

  Half-bloods (Malisons):
  • Come in a variety of appearances (snake upper/lower half or just straight up snakes for arms and such)
  • Proud of their serpent heritage
  Abominations:
  • Mainly snake with some humanoid-like features (i.e. arms)
  Broodguards:
  • Don’t reproduce naturally
  • Are originally travelers that have been transformed via black magic
  • Mindless with the only goal to protect eggs
  Tainted Ones:
  • Humanoids who had been transformed into Yuan-ti servators
  • Keep their original appearance
  • Develop hissing as they talk, keep large reptiles as pets, reptile-like habits like licking their lips
Ruler: King Saverion   Capital: unknown   Language: Ssassymian (named for their deity, Ssassya)   Predominate Race: Yuan-ti   Known for: violent attacks and abductions
While most of the society is based in yuan-ti heritage, kobolds have also integrated somewhat in this society. They are typically household servants or work the lowest work, just above broodguards and tainted ones. Kobolds are not very abundant, but do have a place here.   Some kobolds have attempted to escape, but often the desert terrain proves too brutal to escape or some of the many yuan-ti nomadic groups will find and eat them. That said, it is not necessarily impossible.
