Welcome to one of the Three Sins

Located on the western coast of the Protectorate of Senbach

Dariaos is affectionately known as one of Three Sins - the other two are comparable entertainment cities Qajan and Alha. They all have similar vibes and services, promising a good time to anyone that visits or vacations. They are popular destination spots for anyone with a bit of extra cash, looking for some wild fun, or looking to gamble the night away. In the Three Sins, any thing is possible. Fortunes are made and lost, entertainment careers kicked off, and if it can be bought, it can be found there. While the Sins are certainly beholden to the laws of the countries they exist in, they are seen almost a world unto themselves. Laws tend to be more suggestions within the city boundaries, enforced when it is convenient to do so. When a vnou thinks about the Three Sins, they don't associate it with any country but rather the entertainment conglomerates and mega-casinos and clubs that dominate the streets.

They are the cities that never sleep decorated in neon lights. Like a moth to flame, they draw vnou from all over the planet.

While the Sins are meant to be popular vacation destinations and the entertainment capitols of the world, they serve a much more sinister purpose for the noble vnou. The three cities serve as the seats of power for the noble family Sid'Vyouz - with Dariaos as their main base of operation. Through all the media and entertainment, the Sid'Vyouz family manages an enormous prapaganda campaign to keep the common vnou from really seeing the noble families as anything other than what they really are. Many are dressed up as ignorant celebrities, reality stars, out of touch old-money inheritors, or any other number of things that spurn rumor and talk that make it all a source of gossip, but not the focus of any serious discussion. No common vnou would believe that any noble family or anyone attached to the name wields any power of significance because of these massive propaganda campaigns, all of which are sourced and managed out of the Sins by the Sid'Vyouz family.

Entertainment vs Propaganda

When it comes to entertainment, the Sins really are the source of it all. All manner of auditions, clubs, stages, and opportunities are available at the Sins. Any wanna-be musician, actor, or model will only see their dreams truly realized at one of the Sins. For those that really want to aim high, they'll go to Dariaos. It's the pinnacle of entertainment - the top of the top. The richest, most popular vnou live and work out of Dariaos. All of which are managed by the Sid'Vyouz family, whether they know it or not. Through a dozen or so comparies or agencies. The family truly has a monopoly when it comes to talent and its exploitation in the Sins.

When it comes to propaganda, there is none better at it than Sid'Vyouz. They built their empire catering to the other families. Helping craft believable stories, manage rumors, and direct public opinion so that it's never close to any real truths. If there happens to be any public relations disaster, it is often Sid'Vyouz that is called in for damage control. It isn't cheap, but they're the ones who largely control all of the mainstream media that the vnou consume. If something needs altered, scrubbed, or manipulated, than it is Sid'Vyouz that will be doing it. This makes them extremely cut-throat when it comes to perceived competition to their monopoly, especially amongst the nobility. Like any other family, they jealously guard what they consider their territory.

Tourism & Trade

Dariaos primary draw is tourism. Though it is a large city with its own enormous residential population, the entire life-blood of the Sin City is entertainment. Whether that's in the form of shows and filming, music, casinos, or any other form of entertainment - that is the primary focus and function of the city. They export talent. Nearly every actor, musician, or model will site one of the Sin cities as their point of origin, with the most prestigious claiming their start in Dariaos. All of the nobility use the city for their propaganda campaign headquarters

A deal you can't refuse

While no common vnou know about Sid'Vyouz, the noble family runs the Sin Cities through their entertainment conglomerates and their gangs known as Rashung. Every wanna-be and hopeful that arrive at the Sin cities, if they have any talent, will have a run in with a Vyouz Agent wrapped in the trappings of some entertainment agency. There might be a handful of other, smaller agencies but they're pawns, chess pieces in a game they don't know they're playing. Anyone with any serious talent will find themselves at the end of a Vyouz contract and the terms are always in the house's favor. It's sign on the line or never make it anywhere. While the Vyouz aren't entirely abusive in their weild of such power, they make and break their clients on the whim of the populous and their popularity - leaving no room for their client's autonomy. It's all about entertainment and value someone might bring - when they're not useful, Vyouz is all too happy to retire someone.

This is the darker side of the Sin cities and certainly Dariaos in particular. Careers, hopes, dreams, and fortunes live and die in the city every day - usually at the whim of Sid'Vyouz.
