It’s important to note that Blaysku owns the town through a series of companies and the Fa’Polumerak – their name is not found or known in the town itself.

Government

City Council of 5. Polumerak is not directly tied to it but their family is married into those who are on the council.

Industry

Teak Tree plantations; the only place teak products are crafted and shipped from. The entire town functions around this – from tradesman to loggers to administration and shipping.

History

It’s been around 200 years since Zhu'Blaysku took over the small logging town. They did so in the conventional noble fashion – through the use of a Fa family and without much fuss. Fa’Polumerak set roots in Sercilleville and it’s like the family has been there since its founding. Though Polumerak doesn’t take direct action in any sort of governance, they do watch over the business end of the entire town. It’s all done through friendly connections or familial lines that have been established over the course of their time in the town. For all intents and purposes, Polumerak is a family of Sercilleville but they will always first and foremost be a Fa of Blaysku.

The growth of Sercilleville has been heavily monitored and restricted. The town has been kept intentionally small – mostly through local vote but a decent amount of noble pressure behind the scenes. This has kept the residents relatively wealthy for their small town, though its invested and not immediately apparent.

Residents

The residents of Sercilleville are an odd mix of rugged manual laborers and clash of modern technology. The town has been able to afford the import of many creature comforts given the injection of wealth the teak plantations afford them. It helps that they have a very good relationship with all of their transportation companies – through Blaysku’s long standing deal with Myak – so they don’t usually experience any problems moving their product out of the city either.

In a way, the presence of Polumerak have largely sheltered the residents from many problems a small town might otherwise encounter being so on the fringe of civilization. They’ve ready access to communications, sanitation, and power. They’ve never experienced any manner of real crime, thanks to the vigilance of Polumerak, and any time any piece of equipment breaks or they need to resupply for any reason, they’re able to do so in a rather expedient manner. Their small shops are well stocked and the residents want for very little. So long as they continue to work and production continues, Blaysku has taken care of the small town.

It should be noted that there haven’t ever been any worker’s complaints or residential unrest in Sercilleville. No one is unionized. They all work for a handful of companies, depending on what it is they’re actually working on, and any problems that arise are swiftly ironed out. Either through diplomacy or force.

Town Construction

While Sercilleville doesn’t exactly have population control, they aren’t welcoming to outsiders. All the growth the town has experienced has come from the families over the course of the settlement, those that drift in from the nearby port of Barignon, or selective vnou who move in per the approval of the Council. These will normal be town vital vnou like doctors, teachers, craftsman, etc. The influx of new blood is never a thought or concern to the every day resident, though it is something Polumerak keeps a close eye on.

Sercilleville is a small town that has built up on itself over time. The dense forest around has restricted a lot of expansion and the land required to grow teak is finite – favored for planting instead of building. Given the wealth that has infused the town, with the quiet backing of nobility, Sercilleville has managed to deal with this problem easily. Their homes may be stacked amongst one another but the interiors are roomy, air conditioned, and fully powered with all the amenities a city vnou might expect in a much larger locale. This has created an odd dichotomy of seemingly out of touch vnou at the end of the world who are in fact well connected and well informed.
