Bergelmir

The Primordial giant Ymir, the most ancient being known to the people of Midgard, first arose from ancient ice melted by the fires of Muspelheim. Drops of sweat from the truly colossal Ymir fell, and formed the first Frost Giants.
Among the first Frost Giants was Bergelmir.
Later, the great cow Audhumla licked the ice and uncovered Buri, from whom was descended three brothers: the gods Odin, Vili, and Ve. For reasons unknown, these gods slew Ymir. So huge was Ymir that his blood drowned nearly all of the Frost Giants, with Bergelmir the only survivor.
