The Covenant of Sorcerers
As old as the histories go back. They used to be an organization that were trusted advisors to the kings of man. Powerful enough to forge the empire into conquering the world once yet now their organization lays in ashes. Most of its' member presumed dead, the rest scattered. After the eastern conquest, this organization has been nothing but the stuff of myth and legend since.
Summary
A league of the worlds most powerful sorcerers history has ever seen. Shame, many of their secrets lie in ashes now, deep into imperial territory.
Historical Basis
Responsible for both the rise and fall of the empire. As a result of their portrayal The Holy Empire banned the use of sorcery in these lands under punishment of death. They fled to the eastern kingdom and gave the empire a good taste of its' own medicine. That was until the Silver Lion came into the picture. If you could pinpoint the destruction of this guild on one person, it would be the legendary silver lion.
Cultural Reception
Wherever they went, they helped the common folk. The people loved them and so long as they served those who were worthy, they would gain the absolute trust of the Kings and Queens they served.

All Record of them has been burned by the Witch Hunters yet the memory amongst the people remain.

No art you can find in a market today captures the essence of this once powerful organization.
