Made of Mostly Brass and Painted Tin it is usually found in a small box with straw this 2 1/2 by 3 inch mechanical Clockwork Beetle is a useful Item for spies and scouts From a distance it would appear as a normal beetle but in actuality is a clockwork surveillance device. It typically comes with a Monocle with a small ear piece attached there is an ornate key that is used to wind it up. Once wound up the bug has been enchanted with magics to be controlled from the key with one hand while the user can observe through the Bugs eyes and hear from the bugs location via the Monocle and ear piece. The Bug can remain active for a total hours time and is activated once the Monocle and ear piece are in place. Removing the monocle and ear piece essentially stop bug and its remaining energy for activity is stored until you wish it active again. The bug can travel 10 feet a melee round and in plain sight typically is a DC 12 to detect and more difficult under objects and in darkness Etc. It can relay Images and sounds to its user through walls of Wood, Stone etc. up to a distance of 500' away from the user at distances over 500' it can only relay sight and at a distance over 1000' it becomes inactive.
