Vorago the Comet

Unlike most worlds, Vorago, from the outside, does not orbit around a sun. Rather, a small sun orbits around it, while it itself hurtles through space as a comet.
Like most worlds it is grounded in the prime material plane, formed from energies from the four elemental planes. Like most, it boasts a healthy metaphysical atmosphere/soil for souls thanks to the ethereal plane. But unlike most, it has no feywild or shadowfell counterpart. This is because of its Comet nature and its Whirlpool nature.
Vorago is small, more like the size Earth's moon, with about the land mass of Asia surrounded by ocean. It is possible to sail all the way around the continent in a few months. Ships that sail directly away from the continent will be mysteriously and imperceptibly turned around after crossing the horizon. Since The Destabilization, they will sometimes instead show up on the exact opposite end of the continent. Neither of these phenomena are fully understood.
