The Marked Lands
The cursed land of abominations, few dare venture into it's wastes.
Geography
A craggy wasteland covered in dead trees.
History
Once a verdant expanse of lush fields and hearty trees, an ancient battle scarred this land. Hundreds of years ago a battle between a great hero and demon known as the The Cursed Battle was waged at the center of this land. They say the fight lasted days but at the end the hero won, defeating the demon. Although the demon was defeated it was at the expense of the fertile land. Whether it was from the demon's blood soaking into the land or the dark magics they used is unknown, but the lands died in the following years. The people that lived there either moved to other lands or disappeared. Soon after abominations of unknown origin were often seen amongst the now rocky landscape.
