Shatterfyne

Shatterfyne is a Half-Elf duchy west of Siligond, the kingdom it supposedly answers to. In practice, Shatterfyne has near-complete autonomy, a privilege it has used to kick out all other residents and assert the supremacy of Half-Elves over all others. Today, Shatterfyne is reviled by many people in The Outlands whose forebears were forcibly ejected from the territory about a century ago. Shatterfyne is known for advanced mechanical research and its smiths are the only people who know the secret to forging Hexblades and other enchanted rarities. The duchy is protected by a giant forcefield made by a giant machine hidden deep in the forest.
