I can't remember exactly how they figured out that Sofka was in the Shadowfell but I think they went to Hou's manor.

Jail Buddies

The party arrived in Avokil, Qilora's Shadowfell near the mirror version of the manor. They were initially greeted by a group of necromancers practicing making zombies dance. They were able to talk themselves inside, where they met Sofka for the first time since breaking out of Qilora's stockade at the beginning of their adventures. From their conversation with Sofka, they learned that she is working to create an undead army that can keep The Wanderer from taking over Avokil. However, Boglarka, the vampiric leader of Avokil, refuses to give her bodies to work with. The two have an adversarial relationship because Sofka stole Boglarka's boyfriend. Sofka asked the party to convince Boglarka to give her the bodies, and the party agreed.
