The Crimson Ley Line

The Crimson Ley Line is a ley line of incredible power composed of the blood of the goddess Hemarra - Sanguine Queen / Scarlet Martyr that flows from her comatose body in her domain in Nirvana to her captured heart in the domain of the infernal goddess Khuvala - Matron of Many Faces / Mistress of the Hells in Hell after the events of The Schism . The Crimson Ley Line is always moving and shifting throughout all of the planes from the Outer Planes to the Inner Planes and back. It never stays in one place for long and cannot be seen without powerful magic ability. For this reason it is incredibly difficult to access the ley line and is often only harnessed by followers of Hemarra that she has granted access. However, the often scorned (School of Blood Magic) has long worked to gain access to the ley line through rigorous arcane study. Many throughout the ages have gained access to the Crimson Ley Line in this way and while The Bleeding Hearts consider this a form of blasphemy to Hemarra, those who gain access to the ley line through mortal means do not always use it for evil. Those who do use the Crimson Ley Line for nefarious purposes are often criminalized and hunted down while those who try to use the ley line for healing and good are still often looked down on for their often macabre forms of magic similar to how the Bleeding Hearts are. For this reason, practitioners of the School of Blood Magic often keep their affiliation a secret.
