The Inquisitors of Ash

The Inquisitors of Ash were formed by The Church of Ash near the end of The Age of Wasting to combat the large amounts of undead that were appearing in the wake of the plague. Primarily found on the continent of Withaeria, the Inquisitors were dispatched to the continent to wage a series of crusades against the undead found there. This lasted for so long that it gave The Age of Inquisition its name. The crusades failed to irradicate all of the undead on Withaeria but it did result in the formation of a colony on the continent controlled by the Church of Ash. Nowadays the purposes of the Inquisitors of Ash are to guard their colony on Withaeria, continue to push back against the undead on the continent, and travel the world hunting dangerous undead.
