Vairedanian Empire

The Vairedanian Empire makes up the largest continent in Vylderaine and lies on the eastern side of its largest landmass. It has such a long shoreline that the Vairedanian Ocean is named after it. During the The Unwritten Age the Vairedanian Empire was actually known as Cúigear as was made up of five separate kingdoms: Arthair, Creagath, Hartvelden, Südrandland, and Vairedan. However, after the events of The Age of War and The Forgotten Age, the Five Kingdoms of Cúigear had united under the banner of the royal family of Vairedan to form the Vairedanian Empire. Due to the continent's impressive size, it contains a multitude of different biomes, from rolling hills, rocky cliffs, fields of flowers, and beautiful coastlines. The power of the five kingdoms under the one Vairedanian Empire also makes the continent one of the wealthiest and most powerful in all of Vylderaine.

The culture of the Vairedanian Empire (unless specifically made up for this setting) is inspired by real life European nations and cultures, specifically Ireland, Scotland, the Netherlands, England, and Germany. For purposes of character and world building, anything that originates from the Vairedanian Empire can be named or inspired by these same nations and fit the setting.
