Navigator's Compass

The Navigator's Compass is a magically constructed compass that allows the owner to sail into the Yngveig and always find their way back to Vyngaard. They are expensive and only a few have enough gold to buy one.

Utility

The compass works just like any other compass and looks almost exactly like one too. The only difference is that it always points towards the entrypoint between Vyngaard and the Yngveig. If used in Vyngaard, the direction it points to is entirely random and interchangible.

Inventor(s)

It is unknown who first created the compass given to 'Akhai, but in Vyngaard the formula was figure out by the Prime Tempest Conclave .

Access & Availability

The blueprint for the Navigator's Compass is unknown and heavily guarded. The few who have the blueprint available create only a few, as it is said to take much time and incredible effort. Therefore the compass is extremely expensive, and there are not many around Vyngaard. In that way, the compasses are mostly only available to the rich.

Discovery

'Akhai the Storm's Gift was the first sailor to ever return from the Yngveig, though she had been lost in Aldinnhalldr for many long years. She only found her way because of a compass that an unknown being gave to her in exchange for a favour.

'Akhai gave up the compass to the scientists of Vyngaard after her return, in the hopes of it being copyable. It would then allow more sailors to discover the realms beyond Vyngaard, and give her a chance to find her companion Jamys Windtaker.
