The completion of a ritual by the The Cult of Meliora to liquefy city residents and use their essence to turn the Blue dragon Meliora into a Dracoliche. Thousands perished, and thousands more fled north to Rhoden and further. The city was then overrun with fiendish and aberrant monsters. It remained a blemish on Faerun until it was liberated by Wade and Associates a year later.
