Feywild (FAY-wild)

The Unseen-Realm, or Feywild, is a place of contradictions. Laws of time and space are mere suggestions here. Juxtaposition is the norm in the Unseen-Realm - where beauty and violence exist hand-in-hand.
This plane, like its dark reflection: the Shadowfell, lies alongside the prime material plane. Portals to this realm are hidden in remote, magical places. In some locations, such as Bukana, these passageways are ubiquitous. The Feywild and the Shadowfell are contiguous and it is possible to wander from one into the other. Remote domains of Elves, Merfolk, and fey extend from the Prime Material into this realm.
The Feywild is a vibrant and wondrous realm. It is teaming with fantastic life with all of its smells and sounds. However, it is a dangerous place. Nothing here is what it seems nor is anything constant - even the laws of time and space. The sun (or suns) never fully set here.
Here, many powerful and fickle fey fancy themselves lords here. Archfey, diwata, and panya'en all establish domains here. Elves and some merfolk build settlements and nations here, which rise and fall with alarming frequency.
Sylvan is the common language of the Feywild.

Ecosystem

Deception and magic are common ecological adaptations in the Feywild. Most wildlife has been changed by the mutable nature of this realm.

Localized Phenomena

Time and space are not constant here. Pockets of slowed or expedited time are frequently encountered and travel times between two locations never seem to take the same amount of time to traverse as the last journey.
Madness is a perpetual danger here as mortal minds struggle to grasp the chaotic nature of the Feywild.

Climate

The climate is as inconsistent as everything else here. Blizzards and monsoons can erupt with little warning and strong winds can come and go just as quickly.
