Orangutan

Only the hulking Orangutan are indigenous to the Bukana islands. Hulking ape-people, the orangutan dwell deep in mountainside forests. Here they form large communities in treetop dwellings. They live close to nature and hold it in reverence. They value wisdom and thoughtfulness and can frequently be found in meditation. They are covered in fur that is red-to-orange except for their face, palms, and the bottoms of the feet which are gray or black. Oragutan arms are long by human proportions reaching to their knees. They are clever by nature and enjoy puzzles and stories.
