The Protectors and Providers of the Material Gods

Waking Materia is an overwhelmingly polytheistic plane, with the vast majority of deities being seen as aloof or even hostile to the best interests of Material mortals. In contrast, the Pantheon of the People is a general term for the seven primary deities concerned with the protection and betterment of Waking Materia's humanoid cultures:

• Aios, Overbeing of Light & Healing
• Uhrmazd, Overbeing of Order & Simplicity
• Ninalta & Saint Ajora, Ascendant Goddess(es) of the Harvest
• Saint Frances Heronseye, Ascendant God of Repentant Scoundrels and Ecological Stewardship
• The Field Marshal, Ascendant God of Protection, Sacrifice and Martial Aid
• The Stormlords Ronom & Ranarim, Ascendant Gods of the Sky, Nautical Travel and Monster Hunting
• Laila By-the-Sea, Ascendant Goddess of Beauty, Music, Discovery and Found Families

This pantheon is often worshipped as a whole by Material humans, with focused worship of individual members coming down to personal preference or "callings" and other life events. They are not the only good-aligned gods and not even strictly good-aligned (Umbraas is Lawful Neutral), but most often worshipped as their purviews are most commonly sought after by the masses.

Allied Pantheons

Other Waking Gods may fulfill these roles in more remote cultures, for example Kaleva and Jarl Juulnir act as important gods of protection and hunting in more arctic societies, where hunting & survival play a more important role and agriculture is less viable.

These gods typically have warm but variable relationships with other good-aligned churches; Dreadnoughts of the fire goddess V'Shaat are notorious mavericks and Wardens of The Lady of the Mountain tend to be more solitary.
