Any visitors to Red Leaf will speak highly of the most intriguing of local characters, Big Flip. Flip was discovered by a human couple when he was just a baby, abandoned in the forest. They had pity on the crying calf and took him in. Raised in the town of Red Leaf, Flip (named Flipopotamus by his adopted parents) tried his best to blend in with the humans around him but it was difficult. He towered over everyone and his horns scared the other kids. At a young age, he began filing down his horns and walking with a hunch in an attempt to blend in.
Eventually, the loveable bull became accepted as a big softie. He never sought out action or adventure, but rather learned to love the brewing of ale and spent much of his life seeking to craft the perfect batch. Eventually, he created "Angel Spit", his signature brew. In 3323 AW, Big Flip opened The Buzzing Bee Tavern in the heart of Red Leaf where he happily serves ale and food to travelers. He also has his own home made recipe for biscuits, called "Flippers", that not only taste delicious, but grant the consumers a boost of energy.
Big Flip has never left Red Leaf and never found a mate. He loves his neighbors and has grown fond of The Nameless Ones; in particular, he looks at Raven like a daughter he never had.
