The gnomes of Lake Tarvia prefer to live lives that are both quiet and secret from the world of the big folk. While they do not turn away an individual visitor, they take to hiding when large groups of people travel through. Many of their homes reside high up in the trees, disguised as eagle nests from below, while others make their homes underneath or within the trees. Some will travel to neighboring towns and cities for trade or finding work
