Oman Starfire is one of the great heroes of the elven nation, and the father of Raven (Elyrah Vassani Starfire). Born in Elevere in 3263 AW, Oman was a High Elf who loved the outdoors and was born for adventure. He would explore the Elevere Forest all day, every day, until he reached the age of 17, when the Griffin War began at the Great Crater, and Oman joined the military to do his part. The military fit Oman like a glove, and even as a teenager, Oman played an integral part of the elves victory over the Griffins.
When Oman was 25, he spent time at home on leave, and built his house in the Elevere Forest. While there, he met his wife, Eyjah; and Eladrin from the fey wild. Very little is known about Eyjah's background, but the little information available suggests that she was on the run from and evil beast that was determined to kill her. Eyjah came to Wallencia to escape, and found safety, security and love with Oman. They were married shortly after.
Oman often had to leave home for different missions, but he spent every waking moment with his bride and they made a happy home. His notoriety even resulted in Oman being named Lord over Elevere for a time. But in 3300, the War of the Long Shore began, and Oman felt the call of duty. Oman left the position of Lord to become General Starfire, and his expertise helped win the war over the next few years. Even during the war, he would find time to see Eyjah for a few days at a time, and when the war ended in 3303, he returned home in time to see the birth of his daughter, Elyrah.
Less than a year later, Eyjah's past came back to haunt her. The beast from the fey wild, known only as "the darkness", came to Wallencia to find Ejyah. Oman did battle with the creature, said to be a "beast of black mist and teeth". Sadly, Oman lost the battle and was killed. Eyjah gave her daughter to their handmade, and told her to take the baby far away. Then, she lead the beast back to the fey wild. What happened from there remains a mystery.
