Once a mere human paladin, she took up the torch passed on by the weakened Elvish deity Azra, and first emerged by slaying a foul demon in Bon Vivant. Her martyrdom at the hands of northern elves was witnessed by dozens of discples, who have gone on to spread her testament. Where Monicans go, the eye of the Inquisition follows, keeping an eye ont the young faith and curbing those who might prey on the flock. A number of individuals who interacted with her during her time as a mortal have gone on to become 'Living Saints', beacons of her holy power, and radiant bastions of her light, healing the sick and purging evil, much as their savior did. Though most humans still hold Balthor as the chief deity, most major cities outside of Amstral now host construction sites for soaring Monican Cathedrals.
