01 Crusade Conduct
Welome to the Silence of Aetheris Crusade! This is a Narrative Campaign run within the Geeks of Gosport group that will take place over several months and the results of each episode will inform the next instalment of the narrative and mission pack.
Mission packs will be issued monthly, or, once all participants have completed their missions. Players may conduct multiple missions from the pack, however, each unit in the Crusade Force may only be committed once per phase to simulate the concurrent nature of these missions. Each mission will have its own set of rules and conditions, including max army size. Some missions may have their own unique rewards and bonuses that will apply in the next phase. Commanders must choose carefully which battlefront they commit themselves to.
Anyone may join the Crusade at any time. Each player starts with a Supply Limit of 1000 pts and 5 Requisition Points to use as they see fit. Players should submit their starting lists to the Crusade Manager (CM) along with a side of A4 detailing the background, aims, and objectives of their force. Ideally this should be in the form of a Narrative Piece, however, the Crusade Manager will work with you to create this if you are struggling.
The Crusade will utilise multiple game modes as part of this narrative campaign. The rules for each with reference to the Crusade will be discussed in Game Mode Interaction Section. The following Game Modes will be in play:
• Warhammer 40k Edition
• Kill Team Edition
• Combat Patrol
• Boarding Actions
The following source material will be used for Rules;
• Warhammer 40k 10th Edition Crusade Rules (Core)
• Leviathan
• Pariah Nexus
• Boarding Actions
• White Dwarf Supplements
• 10th Edition Indexes unless superceded by Faction Codex.
• Kill Team 2nd Edition Spec Ops Rules (Core and Supplements)
WorldAnvil (https://www.worldanvil.com )will serve as the narrative and Lore repository for the Crusade. Players will need to create a free account and then request access to the page from the Crusade Manager. Monthly Mission Packs will contain a condensed breakdown of key events and the development of the lore along with the next chapter of missions.
In addition to their starting lists and background, Players will be required to submit to the following after each battle;
• Forces involved.
• Mission Played
• Score
• Key Narrative events (particularly if cinematic).
• Although not required, players are encouraged to submit their own narratives surrounding their armies battles and actions.
• Any Crusade Relics earned.
These Battle Reports can be done by one of the players on behalf of all or by both. The CM will take any submitted narrative and work them into one piece for the battle.
Competitive play is encouraged, but ultimately this is entirely for fun.
In the case of a dispute during a game and an agreement cannot be achieved, roll off for the decision. If a result is ambiguous or there is dispute, the Crusade Manager is to be contacted and their decision is final. Note that this may not be possible during a game and relates to predominantly to the Post-Mission Actions.
