This Crusade will Enable the interaction of Kill Team, Boarding Actions, and Combat Patrol.
A unit may only be deployed on one mission per phase. It cannot be conducting a boarding action whilst also engaged in a ground battle elsewhere.
Boarding Actions
Crusade Armies must be mustered in accordance with Boarding Patrol Detachment Rules, with the exception of Enhancements.
XP, RP, and battle scars will be earned identically to a Crusade Game.
Battle Honours, Relics, etc will be carried across between game modes.
Combat Patrol
Crusade Armies must be mustered in accordance with Combat Patrol Lists.
Units adopt the data cards of the Combat Patrol, regardless of scars, traits, or other modifiers gained through Crusade mechanics. This is temporary for the extent of the battle and does not result in the permanent loss of scars, traits, relics or other effects.
XP and RP is earned in accordance with Crusade Rules and may be applied on completion of combat patrol games, along with any earned battle traits.
OOA tests, and the gaining of Battle Scars must be taken in accordance with Crusade Rules and are applied at the end of the Combat Patrol Game.
Crusade Blessings and Agendas do not apply to Combat Patrol Games.
Kill Team
Kill Team Ops may contribute to the narrative. The two systems will be kept independant from one another to avoid confusion, although this may change if a viable mechanism becomes apparent. Therefore a player may run a 40k Crusade and Kill Team Spec Ops Campaings concurrently. Victories and defeats in either theatre will apply to the overall narrative and will earn bonuses for both that will shape the game play. Alternatively players may play one and not the other, in these circumstances they may confer the bonuses to an ally force or kill team if their interests align.
