Black Mire

South of Aetheris, the Black Mire is a vast, marshy region shrouded in thick, toxic fog. The land itself is treacherous, with massive, sinkhole-riddled swamps, making it an unforgiving place for any kind of landing, especially a voidcraft. Dense flora and fauna thrive here, but their presence is far from welcoming—some of the native creatures are large enough to pose threats to vehicles, let alone individuals.
Multiple wrecks have been recorded in the Mire over centuries, with many lost forever in the shifting swamps and murky waters. Initial readings from Aetheris indicated a large object went down in the area, but the mire’s shifting terrain could have swallowed the wreck entirely. The dense canopy of twisted trees and the toxic gases create a natural barrier to visual and thermal sensors, making it difficult to confirm whether the Emperor’s Justice lies beneath the marsh or if it sank deep into the swamps.
