Two-Headed Tiger
The Two-Headed Tigers, better known as the Ditigers, are a species of massive tigers with two heads each. They rival the Three-Headed Lions, who are the undisputed kings of their respective territories.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Most recognizable for its pattern of dark vertical stripes on reddish-orange fur with a lighter underside, Ditigers are also remembered for their two heads, a result of genetic mutations spread through generations until it has finally become the norm of the species. A Ditiger with only one head is considered "deformed". The Ditiger has a muscular body with powerful forelimbs, a large head and a tail that is about half the length of its body. Its pelage is dense and heavy, and colouration varies between shades of orange and brown with white ventral areas and distinctive vertical black stripes that are unique in each individual. Stripes are likely advantageous for camouflage in vegetation such as long grass with strong vertical patterns of light and shade. They have a mane-like heavy growth of fur around the neck and jaws and long whiskers, especially in males. The pupils are circular with yellow irises. The small, rounded ears have a prominent white spot on the back, surrounded by black. These false "eyespots", called ocelli, play an important role in communication, as Ditigers are capable of communicating with other Ditigers through telepathic communication with their ocelli. Hence, it is important to have two heads (four ocelli) for better communication. Ditigers have fairly stout teeth; their somewhat curved canines are the longest among living Satanimals with a crown height of up to 3.5 ft.

Ecology and Habitats
When not subject to disturbance, they are mainly diurnal. As cubs they do not often climb trees but cases have been recorded. Ditigers are strong swimmers and often bathe in ponds, lakes and rivers, thus keeping cool in the heat of the day. Individuals can cross rivers up to 7 km (4.3 mi) wide and can swim up to 29 km (18 mi) in an hour.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Ditigers are apex predators, primarily preying on ungulates such as deer and cattle. They is territorial and generally solitary but social predators, often requiring large contiguous areas of habitat that support their prey requirements. This, coupled with the fact that it they indigenous to some of the more densely populated places on Ka'a', has caused significant conflicts with Sapiens.
