Being a Temperate World, Varaktus has a diverse biome that varies depending on where one is. Desert-like savannas exist toward the equator (center) of the planet, and frozen tundras exist at the poles of the planet.

Given Varaktus' near perfect distance in its orbit from its star, Varaktus has very stable climates all year round.

Localized Phenomena

The Hive Cities are usually choked with smog from all of the activity industrial and manufactuing activity happening inside them. Only the highest of Spires of the Wealthy can actually see the sun in its true greatness.
