Iron Bone Hunters

When you see the orange vests coming, get out of the way.

A purposeful lack of subtly.

These guys intentionally make themselves as obvious as possible because they are not coming for you. They are coming for the Tree-Splitters in your area, and it is best if you get out of the way.
As time goes on, the Tree-Splitters threat has become of much less concern, with most small militia infantry units being able to handle the small packs that harass their local areas. However, sometimes these packs can be too large in number and specialists have to come in. This is where the role of the Iron Bone Hunters comes into play. Men and women in orange reflective vests with the only objective being to eliminate the threat. The formation of the group was only very recent and was brought into existence by growing concerns out on the fringes of The Copper Mountains about a rising number of Tree-Splitters.

Equipment

Outside of standard survival equipment, they are equipped with bright orange reflective vests that make them obvious to see from a distance. Along with this they were provided advanced sensory equipment for the purposes of finding Tree-Splitters from an extreme distance.

Weaponry

The largest thing to note is the return of the massive flechette cannons that were once used by our ancestors, now loaded with copper flechettes so they twist and distort. Often painted bright red or white, the ammunition has specific fins that make a loud whistle noise as they fall. These weapons are able to shower large swaths of land. Specifically to attack Tree-Splitters , with the weapons being made to be specifically against them.
