The Baker's Guild

The Baker's Guild is an organization of united, skilled bakers that operate within the city of Waterdeep. They are an extremely wealthy and influential guild that is renowned for the high-quality goods they produce. Their livery consists of white cloaks and hats highlighted with a light blue chevron.

Activities

In addition to the tasty breads and pastries the guild produces - which form the majority of many Waterdhavians' diets - they have garnered the attention of a great many thieves from throughout the city.
As a result, the guild hires dedicated "runners" to ensure their orders are safely delivered to their intended destinations. In addition, these private escorts act as bodyguards and are even known to chase down anyone who attempting to intercept their wares. While they have no "official" authority within the city, they are often given relative free reign by the City Watch.

Membership

Guild membership costs 10 gp, with an annual fee of 5 sp per month. Entrance into the guild has to be approved upon application by the Master and the "Master Bakers" (the ten most-senior members of the guild).
