The Graycloaks

The Graycloaks are the militia that protects the city of Neverwinter in the 14th century DR.

Background

The Graycloaks earn their name from the grey cloaks they wear, as they don't have the funds to afford proper uniforms.

Organization

The Graycloaks have 400 members, a mounted force of archers and spearmen, although they are trained in the use of other weapons. Females and males are treated as equals within their ranks. In peacetime, 60 Greycloaks act as Neverwinter's police force while 60 are on leave and another 60 are re-training.

Headquarters

The Graycloaks have two garrisons, at the northeastern and southeastern gates.

Possessions

Besides their arms and grey cloaks, the militia has the blastglobes made by the Many-Starred Cloak wizards, although they use such magic items only in times of need.

History

The Graycloaks were disbanded after the destruction of Neverwinter. The Graycloaks faction of the Sons of Alagondar got their name from the militia.
