The House of Song

The House of Song has been the guildhall of the Council of Musicians, Instrument-Makers, & Choristers in Waterdeep since the 14th century DR.

Location

It is located in the city's Trades Ward on Rivon Street, or on the corner of Coach Lamp Lane and Carter's Way, close to the South Gate.

Structure

It is a large, two-story building.

Interior

Inside, in the parlor, the ceiling is supported by a series of slender stone pillars; two adjacent columns are pale blue in color. The woodwork where the wall meets the ceiling isinscribed with an old elven song.

Activities

In addition to hosting all guild business, the House of Song provides food and beds for its members, including itinerant bards.

History

The House of Song is situated on the former site of Olamn, the old bardic college of Waterdeep centuries before. It was established some time before 1357 DR.
